EV battery systems also rely heavily on temperature monitoring, cell balancing, voltage protection, and thermal management systems to maintain performance and safety. 


Battery management systems continuously monitor hundreds or even thousands of individual data points every second. Modifying these systems without maintaining those built-in protections can introduce significant risks that may affect performance, safety, and long-term reliability.

9. Review Your Warranty and Tell Your Insurance Provider (If You Have One) 

The key thing to remember with every modification, whether for an EV or a traditional vehicle, is that legal does not always mean warranty-safe. Just because a modification meets legal requirements does not automatically mean it protects your warranty.
